About Us

Wayfarer's Place is a 125 year old farm house, recently renovated to accentuate the glory of "by-gone" days. Tall ceilings, large wood moldings and trim, hardwood flooring with antique furnishings. The deeds date back to 1881 and the kitchen is original to that period; as well as, most of it's furnishings.

Breakfast is served in the dining/kitchen area. A menu is provided, where you may select what best suits your ideal morning meal. Everything from a light fare of fresh fruit, granola with homemade nut bread; to country eggs, sausage with cheese grits, and biscuits; or a delicate egg & ham breakfast soufflé, apple galette and fresh-baked bread; all with juice and piping hot coffee.

Being a Bed & Breakfast which offers only 2 to 3 bedrooms, emphasizes and ensures your stay will be quiet and private. It is your home-away-from-home, nestled in the countryside of Southern Woodford County; in the heart of the Bluegrass.

The Tapestry Room has a queen size bed in the front of the house catching the evening sunsets as they are filtered and cascade through plantation shutters off the wrap-around porch.

The Beatrix Potter Room has two twin beds softly nestled under a wall mural; a scene from the famous Scottish writer’s books about Peter Rabbit. It is a charming and whimsical room full of warmth.
